Microsoft has announced a new cloud-based print solution, Universal Print, which promises to transform printing infrastructure into a simple, easy experience for IT teams and employees. According to the Microsoft press release, “Universal Print moves key Windows Server print functionality to the Microsoft 365 cloud, so organizations no longer need on-premises print servers and do not need to install printer drivers on devices.”
Kofax, the market leader in print management, is excited to partner with Microsoft to unlock even greater value for customers who use Universal Print together with Kofax ControlSuite and/or Kofax Equitrac.
Kofax ControlSuite actively manages, secures and governs virtually every aspect of document information distribution via printing, scanning, routing and storing throughout the enterprise—across any combination of hybrid systems, technologies and devices, including MFPs, PC desktops, mobile, email and web capture. Kofax ControlSuite complements the agility of Universal print at this critical time for businesses. By making it easier for workers to print from wherever they may be sitting, for systems to support mission critical cost management and reporting, and for processes to gain efficiencies wherever they can be found in this new distributed business landscape, Kofax is helping companies work like tomorrow—today.
We congratulate Microsoft for taking this exciting new step in transforming the way printing is done, and we look forward to supporting the success of Universal Print.
