Kofax Declares 2018 the Year of the Robot

Kofax Kapow Robotic Process Automation Software Breaks Sales Records and Outpaces Competitive Offerings to Deliver Digital Transformation

Irvine, CA, January 11, 2018 – Kofax®, a leading provider of software to simplify and transform the First Mile™ of business, today announced record sales achievements for Kofax Kapow™, its leading robotic process automation (RPA) software that mimics human actions to automate a wide range of manual, repetitive tasks and drive continuous improvement. With interest in RPA technology and demand for Kapow at an all-time high, Kofax has declared 2018 the Year of the Robot.

With hundreds of thousands of Kapow software robots deployed at more than 550 enterprise customers, BPO providers and shared service organizations around the world, Kapow has enabled exceptional results by driving better operational efficiency, customer responsiveness, compliance and cost savings. Kapow’s automation capabilities are being leveraged across a wide range of use cases and industries including customer and employee onboarding, banking, insurance, supply chain, logistics, finance, accounting, marketing, and customer service.

Unlike other RPA software, Kapow's unique architecture runs all robots on a centralized server and does not require a virtual desktop infrastructure. These smart robots interact seamlessly with applications, trigger responses, and communicate across enterprise systems, web sites and desktop applications. Kapow robots can be implemented without complex coding or lengthy development cycles, which speeds project deployments and increases ROI.

In 2017, Kapow experienced widespread global adoption across all geographies and channels, and record revenues, building on its previous success and positioning the company to continue to grow market share. Kofax also doubled its investment in RPA to further speed its pace of innovation.

Kofax certified more than 165 resellers in its global channel partner program to address increasing demand for RPA software, particularly in the financial services and logistics sectors. As a result, Kofax realized more than 50 percent revenue growth through such partners. In addition, several globally recognized systems integrators, including Deloitte and Infosys, forged alliances with Kofax to certify their consultants and bring Kofax Kapow to clientele in a range of industries around the world.

Kapow has been recognized in a number of RPA reports published by many notable analyst firms, including 451 Research, Aragon, Celent, Everest Group, Forrester, Gartner, HfS and Tractica.

Kapow can be seamlessly leveraged with the Kofax TotalAgility® digital transformation platform to deliver a complete process automation solution. Kapow Robotic Process Intelligence can also be leveraged to provide interactive views of system performance and robot metrics for optimizing RPA implementations, proactively monitoring trends, ensuring compliance, detecting potential problems in real time, and increasing the productivity of an organization’s digital workforce.
