INDICIUS 6

Course Duration: 5 Days - 8:30-4:30 Monday through Thursday and 8:30 - 2:00 Friday

This course is intended for certified Ascent or Kofax Capture Technical Solutions Specialists who are participating in the design, implementation, and support of and advanced component-based document imaging and forms processing solutions using Kofax Capture and INDICIUS.

This hands-on course is designed to provide a basic working understanding of the INDICIUS processing modules, their functionality, configuration and integration. This training also covers creating classification, separation and extraction configurations using Transformation Studio. Passing a final examination with a score of 80% or higher results in product certification.

During this course, the attendee will become familiar with installing and configuring INDICIUS. They will learn how to set up classification, separation and extraction solutions and gain experience in processing and releasing batches of documents using the INDICIUS processing modules.

 

At class completion

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the capabilities of INDICIUS
  • Describe scenarios for which INDICIUS offers an appropriate solution
  • Describe the various configuration tools and runtime modules included in an INDICIUS installation
  • Install INDICIUS in a standalone configuration and describe installation in a client/server configuration
  • Set up batch classes and process batches, end-to-end, using Kofax Capture and INDICIUS
  • Create Configurations in Transformation Studio to accomplish classification, separation and extraction
  • Set up a Recognition Test Project and test configurations using the Recognition Test Tool
  • Design user-friendly and efficient GUIs using Template Editor
  • Use the Document Review Project Editor to create configuration files for both Document Review and for separation
  • Evaluate and "tune" configurations
  • Install and configure INDICIUS Email Import
  • Pass a certification exam with a score of 80% or higher

Prerequisites

To maximize your learning experience,students should meet the following prerequisites:

  • Experienced with the Windows 32-bit or 64-bit environment and its GUI conventions (2000, XP, Server 2003 or Vista)
  • Certified in Ascent Capture 7 or Kofax Capture 8
  • Some programming experience (VB or other)
