Kofax Transformation Modules 3.5 (formerly Ascent Xtrata Pro)

Course Duration: 5 Days - 8:30-4:30 Monday through Thursday and 8:30 - 2:00 Friday

This course is intended for certified Kofax (or Ascent) Capture Technical Solutions Specialists who are participating in the design, implementation, and support of and advanced component-based document imaging and forms processing solutions using Kofax Transformation Modules.

This hands-on course is designed to provide a basic working understanding of the KTM Project Editor, Server, Validation and KB Learning Server modules, their functionality, configuration and Kofax Capture integration. Passing a final examination with a score of 80% or higher results in product certification.

During this course, the attendee will become familiar with installing and configuring KTM. They will learn how to set up classification, separation and extraction of structured semi-structured and unstructured documents using a variety of advanced methods.

Prerequisites

To maximize their learning experience, interested students should have the following prerequisites:

  • Understanding of the Windows 32-bit environment and its GUI conventions (2000, XP, Server 2003 or Vista)
  • Working knowledge of Client/Server
  • Certification in and experience using Kofax (or Ascent) Capture

Objectives

At the end of this training program, attendees will be able to:

  • Describe the capabilities of Kofax Transformation Modules
  • Verbally differentiate between appropriate solutions for which Kofax Capture alone is the best choice, for which Kofax Capture with INDICIUS is the best choice and for which Kofax Capture with Kofax Transformation Modules is the best choice
  • Describe the differences between an “Invoice” project and a “Standard” project
  • Install and configure Kofax Transformation Modules in both a client/server and standalone configuration
  • Integrate Kofax Transformation Modules and Kofax Capture
