Installation instructions for DSS firmware/driver release v1.21.024

You should refer to the Document Scan Server Administrator Guide for more information.

This procedure will update your firmware, driver, and Hardware Default Firmware Page on your DSS devices to v1.21.024.

UPDATE PROCEDURE:
1. From the Management Console v1.20.064, highlight the DSS devices in the lefthand window pane that you want to upgrade.
2. Click the Update Tab.
3. Click the Update Scan Driver... button.
4. Click the Open button for the file Driver_Fujitsu_v1.21.024.drv.
5. You will be prompted to update scanner drivers on your DSS devices.  Click Yes.  Please WAIT until the driver is finished uploading then click OK.

6. Click Update Firmware... button.
7. Click the Open button for the HardwareDefaultFirmwarePage_v1.21.024.fw. (This will update the Hardware Default Firmware Page which is accessed via the Reset Button (See the DSS Admin. Guide Appendix A for more info.)
8. You will be prompted to update firmware on your DSS devices.  Click Yes.  Please WAIT until the firmware is completely finished uploading.  
9. At the prompt click Yes, then click Yes again in the Progress - Firmware Update window.

10.  Click Update Firmware... button.
11.  Click the Open button for the file Firmware_v1.21.024.fw.
12.  Click Yes to continue.  This will take ~10 minutes/device to upload and burn the new firmware.  Please be patient.
13.  When complete, click OK and ...
14.  Manually reboot your DSS devices for the new firmware and drivers to take effect.
