Sender System Requirements

The requirements are listed below for the Kofax e-Transactions Sender.


Hardware Requirements

The following lists the minimum hardware requirements for Kofax e-Transactions Sender.

In addition, the Sender must be installed on a computer with access to the print spool folder, either locally or on a server.

Kofax is committed to ensuring that our products work with these component versions and addressing issues that arise when our products are used in conjunction with them. Unless otherwise specified, we do not support the use of our product in conjunction with versions of software other than those listed in the Kofax Cross Product Compatibility Matrix. Additional Software Requirements

Kofax e-Transactions Sender requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. If you have not upgraded to .NET Framework 3.5, the installation opens a window allowing you to download .NET Framework 3.5.

Kofax e-Transactions Sender sends and receives email documents through Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). If you use antivirus software to scan emails, add Kofax e- Transactions Sender to the list of applications that are trusted to communicate over your network. Otherwise, you may encounter problems when sending documents.

Note: For some antivirus programs, you must disable the email scanning features.

Kofax e-Transactions Receiver also requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0. If you have not upgraded to .NET Framework 4.0, the installation process


Unsupported Environments

Kofax e-Transactions is not supported for use in multi-user remote access environments.


Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture Support

The Technical Support groups who support the Capture Installation, Configuration, Operation, and Web products, can assist with installation and configuration of the base Capture product as well as troubleshooting problems that occur in production.  They have lots of experience with installation problems, batch class setup, patch code and bar code problems, hardware key issues, OCR engines, databases, etc. They provide support for the Capture-related products including KCN Server, all Kofax Import Connector products as well as Kofax Mobile Capture, Kofax e-Transactions and Ascent Xtrata products.  They can assist with installation or connectivity problems across LANs or the Internet.
