Introduction
This Service Pack applies to the Ascent Advanced Forms V3.7
Validation module.
New Features
Service Pack 2 for the Validation module provides the following
new features.
Single-Click Entry
- Multi-Select on demand
allows you to select or deselect several zones or words.
- ToolTip Text can now
be changed on the Options dialog box. If desired, you can easily change the
font color and font size for the ToolTip.
Drag-and-drop Operation
You can now easily move your documents using the drag-and-drop
operation.
Resolved Problems
Service Pack 2 for the Validation module resolves the following
problems.
- NextSubField in the OnSubfieldDeactivating event is
now set correctly. (SPR 12317)
- The OnFieldDeactivating event NextField argument is now set
correctly when another field is activated. (SPR 12509)
- The MouseUp events are no longer missing for the service
SourceCtrl.
- If you have too many characters in a table, you will receive
an error message. When you double-click on the OK button to dismiss this message,
you will no longer receive several messages.
- The Display property in the Presentation service now works
correctly.
- When entering data into a table cell while the second page
of a document is shown, Validation will no longer display the first page after
the second page.
- Validation_AC Table Auto Complete now fills in the correct
data. (SPR 14220)
- During Table Auto-Completion, a selected table cell will
now display the correct value.
- After rows have been deleted in a table, Validation will
not highlight the remaining rows in the table.
- When you use the Single-Click Entry to capture data and then
delete that data, Validation will now completely remove the deleted data.
- When a field is selected while the "Multi-select on
demand" option is turned off, the field is no longer shown after switching
to another image.
- Table Auto-Completion will now extract the correct text for
an ItemText column.
- When you delete a table cell on the second page of a document,
Validation will no longer automatically switch to the first page.
- The documentation for the Field State filter was changed
to match the behavior reported in the SPR. The Field State filter did not
change. (SPR 13843)
- The documentation for the Tab key was changed to match the
behavior reported in the SPR. The Tab key did not change. (SPR 13843)
- Table Auto-Completion command will no longer fail Validation.
(SPR 13847)
- After switching from a page that is using the Single-Click
Entry with the Zoom-in pointer to a page that does not use the Single-Click
Entry, you will no longer see the Zoom-in pointer.
- The documentation for the Ascent Capture required fields
property was changed to match the behavior reported in the SPR. The Ascent
Capture required fields property did not change. (SPR 13844)
- Single Click Entry" now works for all pages of a document
that contains one or more pages that do not have full-page recognition data.
- When using the OnCommandUpdate event in VBA scripting, the
CPU usage for Validation will display correctly.
- The Undo Table Auto-Completion command is no longer enabled
for a table that was not populated using the Table Auto-Completion function.
- The ToolTips now work correctly.
- The ampersand (&) character no longer displays with the
underscore (_) character in the tables.
- When Tab or Return is used to leave the last field of a document,
focus is now correctly set to the first field of the next document.
- Validation no longer fails when the "Undo Table AutoCompletion"
command is used after a table filled via "Table Auto-Completion"
is loaded.
- Alternative results are now available when using the notation
"field/element" to access sub-fields of the complex Advanced Forms
fields.
- The Invoice Items table columns will now display when using
the InvoiceItems field as a sub-field for the FirstOf field.
- Partial release in Ascent Capture is now processed correctly
by Validation when it is preceded by automatic validation.
- When you install the automatic Validation workstation as
a service and you enable user profiles, the service will now start processing
batches.
Installing the Service
Pack
Service Packs for Ascent Advanced Forms Validation are available
from the Kofax Web site at www.kofax.com. Go to the Support | Downloads Library
area and locate the Ascent Advanced Forms Validation 3.7 link.
Note that there are two Service Packs: Service Pack 1 for the
Extraction module and Service Pack 2 for the Validation module. If you use both
modules and want to install the Service Packs, you must download the Service
Packs and run their separate installations.
In addition, Ascent Advanced Forms Validation 3.7 must be installed
before you install the Service Packs. If you attempt to install the Service
Packs without the required version of Ascent Advanced Forms, the Service Pack
installation will not complete successfully.
To install the Service Packs, the logged-in user must have full
administrative privileges to the local computer.
To install the Service Pack
- Download the desired Service Pack.
- Run Start.exe from the downloaded files to start the
installation.
- Click Install Service Pack from the installation menu.
