01/24/08	Ascent Scan Application for Document Scan Server v2.0 Ascent Scan Application for Document Scan Server is a connector between Kofax’s Document Scan Server and the Kofax Capture product. It connects to Kofax Capture through the Kofax Capture 8 Import Connector - Web Services product. This effectively creates a thin client front end for Kofax Capture. The Web Services Import Connector is included in the Kofax Capture 8.0 Disk 2 of 2 CD and provides the necessary Web services tools to enable existing client applications to capture documents and send them to Kofax Capture. The new release of the Ascent Scan Application for Document Scan Server v2.0 (.2942.27684) contains a new 'DSS Assignment feature. They also can assist with the Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture Web products such as the Kofax Capture Network Server / Ascent Capture Internet Server and Kofax Capture Import Connector - Web Services / Ascent Collection Server. They can assist with installation or connectivity problems across LANs, WANs or the Internet.
