Ascent
Xtrata Pro 3.0 Product Support OverviewAscent Xtrata Pro 3.1 Service Pack 2 is the latest release of the Ascent Xtrata Pro product.
The Ascent Xtrata Pro 3.0 Service Pack 2 product was released on 07/16/07. At that time, it replaced the Ascent Xtrata Pro 3.0 Service Pack 1 product release as the latest release of the Ascent Xtrata Pro product.
Ascent Xtrata Pro 3.0 Service Pack 2 is a cumulative package and contains all features and problem resolutions from the 3.0 release and from Service Pack 1.
This section contains information about the new feature provided with this Service Pack.
Note that the language settings for RecoStar ® suggest that you can combine languages, but you can only choose exactly one language. So, if you select a language the previously selected language will be cleared.

Workaround: Install Ascent Xtrata Pro 3.0 SP2 after the INDICIUS product. If Ascent Xtrata Pro 3.0 SP2 has been installed before, uninstall the Xtrata Pro product, install the INDICIUS product, then re-install Ascent Xtrata pro 3.0.

The Ascent Xtrata Pro 3.0 product was released on 11/13/06. It is the first release of the Ascent Xtrata Pro product.
Ascent Xtrata Pro is a complete system for processing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured documents within the Ascent Capture framework. Ascent Capture’s document and data capture capabilities are enhanced by advanced intelligent document processing. Ascent Xtrata Pro provides methods for hierarchical, content-based classification, and the free-form field extraction of arbitrary, mixed, and unstructured documents.
Ascent Xtrata Pro adds the following components to your Ascent Capture system:
Once Ascent Xtrata Pro is installed, you can add Ascent Xtrata Pro Server and Ascent Xtrata Pro Validation to any batch class already defined in the Ascent Capture Administration module. Typically, Ascent Xtrata Pro Server is placed directly after the Scan module and replaces the Recognition Server in the Ascent Capture workflow. Documents are classified and processed for data extraction and then routed to the Ascent Xtrata Pro Validation module and/or the Release module.

The Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture Technical Support group is comprised of three subgroups (discussed on the Support Options Web page), whose members are knowledgeable in all aspects of the Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture product and Kofax / Ascent modules, including installation, configuration, operation and development. Each group receives ongoing product training from our Engineering department relating to the general Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture product and their specific area of expertise. These groups have in depth knowledge of networking, databases, hardware, and programming which they use when assisting all supported Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture customers.
The Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture Advanced Forms product's Technical Support group can assist with problems related to INDICIUS, Ascent Advanced Forms, Ascent for Invoices, Ascent for Health Insurance, and Ascent Xtrata Pro. They are trained on these Kofax created Ascent modules which are designed to expand on the basic Ascent Capture application.
