Ascent Xtrata Pro 3.0 Supported Configurations

The Kofax Transformation Modules 3.5 is the latest release of the Kofax Transformation Modules (previously named Ascent Xtrata Pro) product.

Ascent Xtrata Pro Operating Requirements

This section lists the operating requirements for installing and using Ascent Xtrata Pro.

Minimum Hardware Requirements

Processor: Pentium class1.5 GHz processor
System memory: 512 Mbytes
Disk space: 500 Mbytes for the installation and enough space (approximately 1 Gbyte) for the image files used for classification (for client/server installations, on the corresponding drive of the server; for standalone installations, on the drive where Ascent Capture is installed)
Display: 1024 x 768 with 16-bit color, small fonts; 24-bit color is recommended for the best viewing.

Recommended Hardware Requirements for Project Builder and Validation

Processor: Pentium class 3.0 GHz processor (dual core)
System memory: 2 GBytes
Disk space: 500 Mbytes for the installation and enough space (approximately 10 Gbytes or more) for the image files used for classification (for client/server installations, on the corresponding drive of the server; for standalone installations, on the drive where Ascent Capture is installed)
Display: 1600 x1200 with 24-bit color, small fonts; 24-bit color is recommended for the best viewing.

Recommended Hardware Requirements for the Server

Processor: Pentium class 3.0 GHz processor, 2-4 CPU’s (dual core)
System memory: 2 GBytes
Disk space: 500 Mbytes for the installation and enough space (approximately 10 Gbytes or more) for the image files used for classification (for client/server installations, on the corresponding drive of the server; for standalone installations, on the drive where Ascent Capture is installed)
Display: 1024 x 768 with 24-bit color, small fonts; 24-bit color is recommended for the best viewing.
NOTE: Disk space requirements will vary, depending on the number of projects set up with Ascent Xtrata Pro. It is recommended that you monitor free disk space on your Ascent Capture server (for client/server installations) and your stations where you perform Ascent Xtrata Pro processing.

Direct X 8.1

Ascent Xtrata Pro requires Direct X 8.1 or higher.

Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture Advanced Forms Support

The Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture Technical Support group is comprised of three subgroups (discussed on the Support Options Web page), whose members are knowledgeable in all aspects of the Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture product and Kofax / Ascent modules, including installation, configuration, operation and development. Each group receives ongoing product training from our Engineering department relating to the general Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture product and their specific area of expertise. These groups have in depth knowledge of networking, databases, hardware, and programming which they use when assisting all supported Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture customers.

The Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture Advanced Forms product's Technical Support group can assist with problems related to INDICIUS, Ascent Advanced Forms, Ascent for Invoices, Ascent for Health Insurance, and Ascent Xtrata Pro. They are trained on these Kofax created Ascent modules which are designed to expand on the basic Ascent Capture application.
