6. Are there any system requirements other than the certified operating systems or Kofax products?
Yes, the following file/folder access requirements must be observed.
INDICIUS modules require access to configuration files when processing batches. In order to use INDICIUS in a distributed environment it is recommended that these files are located on a central resource. All computers must have access to this location and it is recommended that this location is specified using UNC paths.
7. How is INDICIUS 6.0 licensed?
INDICIUS 6.0 is licensed using the Kofax Capture license hardware key. The Kofax Capture license hardware key controls:
The number of stations of each module that can be run simultaneously. Any optional features for each module. The page throughput of Recognition and Scripted Export.For information on how to use, query and troubleshoot Kofax Capture license hardware keys, refer to the Kofax Capture documentation.
In addition to production licensing, INDICIUS 6.0 supports Kofax Capture evaluation and temporary licenses. This feature was introduced in INDICIUS 5.5.

The Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture Technical Support group is comprised of three subgroups (discussed on the Support Options Web page), whose members are knowledgeable in all aspects of the Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture product and Kofax / Ascent modules, including installation, configuration, operation and development. Each group receives ongoing product training from our Engineering department relating to the general Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture product and their specific area of expertise. These groups have in depth knowledge of networking, databases, hardware, and programming which they use when assisting all supported Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture customers.
The Kofax Capture / Ascent Capture Advanced Forms product's Technical Support group can assist with problems related to INDICIUS, Ascent Advanced Forms, Ascent for Invoices, Ascent for Health Insurance, and Ascent Xtrata Pro. They are trained on these Kofax created Ascent modules which are designed to expand on the basic Ascent Capture application.
