Ascent Capture 6 and higher will attempt to automatically activate your licensing during installation. You can also choose to automatically activate from the Ascent Capture License Utility after installation. If your Ascent Capture 6 (or higher) server or standalone station does not have Internet access or has a problem reaching the Kofax Activation server, automatic activation may fail. If this occurs, you can manually activate your licensing by retrieving the license code associated with your hardware key and then choosing the Manual Activate option in the Ascent Capture License Utility and pasting in the activation code. Please enter your hardware key serial number below and click Submit. You will find the serial number printed on the hardware key itself. It is a 7 character code that starts with two letters and ends with five numbers. For example: AA12345. We encourage you to use cut and paste to get the activation code from this interface into the Manual Activation interface within Ascent Capture. Manually re-typing the code may be error prone due to the complexity of the code.

Temporary Ascent Capture Activation Code

You can now request a temporary Ascent Capture Activation Code to address the following needs:

  • Volume Increase
  • Date Rollback
  • Evaluation Date
  • Move Software License

The license generated will address the above situations for 5 days hence. At that time, the temporary license will expire.
