VRS 1.04 and VRS 1.05 Functional differences

The tables below outline the features that are included in the VRS 1.05 release for the Böwe Bell+Howell Copiscan 8000 Plus Series (VRS) scanners that were not found in the VRS 1.04 release for the same Böwe Bell+Howell scanners.

Major Features

1.	Host Imprinter Support	Image Controls required; Auto-increment mode only (no page print mode).
2.	ISIS Support	No imprinter support
3.	Twain Support	No imprinter support
4.	Auto-Brightness	New feature (similar to Fujitsu/Ricoh VRS)

Minor Features

5.	Selection of VRS Install or Driver-Only Install	For Non-VRS ("Video") source update only.
6.	Add a License Agreement Screen	Eliminates need for paper license.

Installation

Bell+Howell VRS Version 1.05 can be installed on top of version 1.04 or as an independent installation.
It is necessary for the firmware version of the Scanner board to match the host VRS software version.
