VRS
Product OEM Overview Kofax has joined with the following scanner manufacturers to provide a unique VRS solution for use in conjunction with specific offerings from their product lines. These VRS OEM versions are distributed by the scanner manufacturers for use with their specific VRS scanners. These VRS OEM releases are not intended to be used with any scanner make or model other than the ones they are distributed with.
First level support for these VRS OEM products is provided by the scanner manufacturer for each of the VRS OEM products. Please check the list of VRS OEM products, shown below, to identify where to obtain support and software updates for your scanner and VRS OEM product before proceeding.
Note: Installation of a non-OEM VRS version onto a computer that already contains a VRS OEM release may break the licensing for the VRS product and render the VRS software unusable.
OEM Releases
The current VRS OEM releases can be found in the VirtualReScan Scanner Certification list document (in PDF format). This list is updated on a regular basis.
Note: The scanners marked with a
or a
symbol are scanners that ship with an OEM version of VRS. No additional purchase is required. The version of VRS included with the scanner is indicated in the Category column.
Kofax does not distribute the VRS OEM software for its OEM partners. Product downloads, like first level support, are provided by the scanner manufacturer for all VRS OEM products. To receive the OEM version of VRS that applies to your scanner, as shown above, please contact the scanner manufacturer directly.
Kofax provides two different levels of support for its VirtualReScan product; General Support and OEM Support . The type of support a VirtualReScan customer receives depends upon which scanner their VRS product is used with. If the scanner uses a current non-OEM release of VRS, then Kofax Technical Support provides support. If the scanner uses a partner's OEM release of VRS, then support is provided by the scanner manufacturer.
