VRS 4.1 Supported Configurations

VRS 4.2 is the most recent release of the VirtualReScan (VRS) product.

VRS 4.1 Operating Requirements

This section provides information about the operating system and hardware requirements for the VRS 4.1 product. Before installation, ensure that your computer meets the minimum requirements. Using the recommended requirements will help to assure optimal performance.

VRS 4.1 System Requirements

Minimum Hardware Requirements

The following lists the minimum hardware requirements for VRS 4.1:

Processor: Pentium 4, 1.4 GHz
System memory: 256 Mbytes or more
Disk space: 300 Mbyte free disk space for installation
Display: Monitor resolution: 800 x 600
Web browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 (or higher). For optimal performance, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 is recommended.

Recommended Hardware Requirements

The following lists the recommended hardware requirements for VRS 4.1:

Processor: Pentium 4, 2.0 GHz
System memory: 512 Mbyte RAM for color
Disk space: 300 Mbyte free disk space for installation
Display: Monitor resolution: 1024 x 768
Web browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6

Note: If Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (or higher) does not exist on your computer,
the VRS installer will install version 1.1 for you. To check for additional information

Certified Operating Systems

VRS 4.1 has been certified to work on the following operating systems:

Windows XP Professional, SP2
Windows 2000 Professional, SP4

Certified Interfaces

USB, SCSI, and FireWire interfaces are certified with VRS 4.1.

Certified SCSI Scanner Controllers

VRS 4.1 has been certified to work with the following SCSI scanner controllers:

Adrenaline 450
Adrenaline 650
Adrenaline 650i
