Alliance Support

Alliance Technical Support has been discontinued and is no longer required for ImageControls Toolkit support.

32-bit Active X Controls

This release uses 32- bit ActiveX controls only.  Users requiring 16 bit VBXs should not upgrade to version 3, but should stay with version 2.

What was new in ImageControls Toolkit 3.1

New ImageControls Toolkit 3.1 Features

Support for Kodak Digital Science scanner- specific features:

  • Access to elements in the Kodak header (bar code, patch code, document level, reel & roll #, image address)
  • Access to Kodak's ATP image enhancement technology
  • Access to Kodak Modes

Support for Auto-Endorsing:

  • You can now specify a starting text prefix, a numeric value, a length of the number, and incrementing rules (i.e., increment every page, every 4th page, on a patch code II, on a patch code V, etc.)
  • You will be able to access scanner specific endorser properties (i.e., endorser font, orientation, etc.)

Read and Write to Memory:

  • ImageControls 2 only allows you to read and write images to disk
  • ImageControls 3 will allow you to read/import images from bitmaps or DIBs in memory
  • ImageControls 3 will allow you to write images from bitmaps or DIBs in memory

32-Bit only:

  • ImageControls 3 will support Visual Basic 5 and Visual C++ v5.0 only
  • Applications built on ImageControls 3 will support the Windows 95 and Windows NT platforms (32-bit only)

Hardware/Software support:

  • ImageControls 3 will support the entire line of Adrenaline hardware and software products
  • ImageControls 3 will support the existing KF series boards

Kofax provides two types of support for the non-legacy Kofax ImageControls Toolkit product, described below.

  • “No-Charge”
    “No-Charge” support consists of Web-Based support that includes the Kofax Knowledgebase and the Kofax Customer Portal for non-legacy ImageControls Toolkit product customers.
  • "Fee-Based"
    "Fee-Based" telephone support from Kofax is available for all non-legacy ImageControls Toolkit product customers.
