ECM Practitioner Training Course
Provided by AIIM, free of charge to Transform attendees

Course Highlights:
- One-day training program, offered at the Transform conference at the Manchester Grand Hyatt on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Course tuition included with Transform registration.
- The course begins at 10:00 am, following the Transform general session and subsequent half-hour break that runs from 8:00-10:00 am. Other than general session, you will miss ALL of the Transform sessions on this day if you elect to take the AIIM course.
- The course will break on the same schedule as the Transform conference, enabling AIIM course participants to network and enjoy snacks and meals with other Transform attendees.
- The course ends at 5:50 pm to coincide with the end of Transform sessions on this day.
- You will be asked during Transform registration if you would like to take the AIIM course; select “yes” to secure your class spot.
- If you sign up for the AIIM training, you will receive access to the online course materials prior to Transform so you can review them in advance of the conference.
- Following the AIIM course on October 22, you will have unlimited access to the online course and handouts for 6 months, but a maximum 3 attempts to pass the online exam.
- After you pass the online exam, you will receive a certificate designating “AIIM ECM Practitioner”
The Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Certificate Program is designed from global best practices among our 65,000 members. The program covers the strategies, tools and technologies used to capture, store, manage, preserve and deliver information in support of business processes. It provides you with a framework which enables the management of information assets across an organization, and it ties in relevant components and technologies. This could be Electronic Document Management, Electronic Records Management, Workflow, Business Process Management, Web Content Management, Collaboration and Digital Asset Management.

Course Development
The course objectives and content is defined and reviewed by AIIM Education Advisory Groups in the US and Europe, representing AIIM’s more than 65,000 members. These Education Advisory Groups include members such as Canon, Fujitsu, Gartner, Microsoft, Oracle, US Department of Treasurey and more.
The course materials were developed by Cornwell Management Consultants and The Oxford Group based on requirements and best practices defined by the above companies.
Course Description
The ECM Practitioner training program provides you with a solid understanding of ECM technologies and components to manage information through its lifecycle. The course will cover technologies that help you capture, store, manage, preserve and/or deliver information in support of a business process. You will learn concepts such as Electronic Document Management, Web Content Management, Collaboration, Workflow, Business Process Management and/or Electronic Records Management.
